I have posted a few bits from the graphic design course I am currently doing before and thought I would share my latest bit of work.
The last assignment was to design and illustrate a Childrens book with a Double Page Spread (DPS), front and back cover. We were given two short stories and a fictional mr men character to choose from. After much deliberation and advice from my tutor I decided to follow the route of the story of Hobnail (a short story by Crystal Arbogast).
So below I have posted some pictures of my book in which I turned my DPS into a popup section. Thanks go to Tim Burton and Roman Dirge for inspiration for the characters. The back drop was taken from my halloween illustration.
